The Celtic romance that started everything.
Fireflies is Book 1 in the Celtic Romance series — an Irish mythology romance about a woman who has been running from her past, and a love interest she cannot outrun.
She has spent years putting distance between herself and the life she left behind. The memories. The place. The person. But some things follow you across borders and years and careful forgetting. Some things have a way of circling back.
Set in the lush, mythic landscape of Ireland, Fireflies is a slow burn second-chance romance woven through with real Celtic folklore. The magic here is quiet — more like standing stones at dusk — but the emotional stakes are just as real. This is a story about what you carry, what you leave behind, and whether you can trust yourself to know the difference.
Dark Celtic at heart. Softer in its bones. A perfect entry point into the world of Shea Hulse’s mythology-rich romance.
